Bill Watson

Bill Cyrus Watson, age 82, of Buncombe County, NC formerly of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the Charles George VA Medical Center, in Asheville.

Bill was born Monday, December 25, 1938 in Rutherford County to the late John Watson and Aileen Copeland Watson.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Bill was a truck driver for most of his life and a mechanic who like his other brothers could work on just about anything. He was a good brother to his family and a devoted son, who took care of his father later in life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George Calvin Watson, Sr., Stanley Watson, and Howard Watson.

Those left to cherish his memory include one brother, Frank Watson (Pat) and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Kistlers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
