Charlene Hunter Kidd

     Charlene Hunter Kidd, age 70, of Lyman, SC passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

     Charlene was born Tuesday, August 3, 1954, in Rutherford County to the late Harold Hunter and Jeanette Whiteside Hunter. Charlene worked at Crescent Hospice Care in Greenville until her retirement in 2021. She was a member of Jackson Memorial Baptist in Campobello, SC. Charlene loved her family, the beach, and her animals.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of twenty years, James Kidd; daughters, Heather Gibson Ruiz (Ruben) of Hendersonville, NC, Kimberly Gowan of Spartanburg, SC; sons, Jason Gowan (Brandy) of Ellenboro, NC, Pierce Kidd (Cayla) of Tazewell, VA; brother, Michael Hunter (Diane) of Lyman, SC; grandchildren, Shane Gowan, Madison Cosby (Ethan), Hunter Gowan (Emma), Alex Ruiz, Jackson Gowan, Owen Ruiz, Aspen Kidd, Sara Ruiz, Aniya Warren, Ava Warren, Teagan Kidd, Peyton Kidd; three great grandchildren; nephews Austin Hunter (Caitlin) and Zachary Hunter (Adreanna).

     There will be a private service held by the family.
