Josefina "Josie" Murillo

Josefina “Josie” Bermudez Murillo, age 74, of Mooresboro, NC, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Josefina was born November 28, 1946 in Cameron County, Texas to the late Guadalupe Bermudez and Carolina Cisneros Bermudez.  Josefina was a remarkable cook and took great joy in preparing meals for her family.  Everyone loved her home made from scratch, fluffy, buttery flour tortillas.  She cared about everyone.  It did not matter whether they were family or not.  Josefina was always bubbly, friendly, outgoing, and very positive about life.  She was like a box of joy, loved to dance, loved life, and loved animals.  Josefina was a strong, independent woman who raised six children on her own. She was a caring person and will be greatly missed. She will never be forgotten leaving a legacy remaining heavy in our hearts indefinitely.
In addition to her parents, Josie was preceded in death by a sister, Gabriela Rodriguez.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters Marisol Camelia Saindoval of Maryland, Tammara Yesenia Reyna (Mauricio) of Greenville, SC, Ruby Bermudez Marquez (Jairo Salvador Marquez Gutierrez) of Charlotte, Lluvia Linda Bermudez of Mooresboro, Yuri  Murillo of Charlotte; son, Guadalupe Casaves of Charlotte; sisters, Ninfa B Almandariz (Manual), Iida B. Medina (Eugenio); brother, Alfredo Bermudez (Delores Guerrero); many nieces, nephews and cousins.
