Lawrence Henry Watson, Sr.

   Lawrence Henry Watson, Sr., age 92 of Rutherfordton passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023, at the Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

     Lawrence was born Tuesday, October 6, 1931, in Nassau County, New York to the late Henry Lawrence and Edith Watson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War and was twice decorated with a Bronze Star. Lawrence loved crossword puzzles, fishing, chess and was an avid TV watcher.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-one years, Ann May Watson; and three sisters.

    Those left to cherish his memory include his four children, Joseph Watson and wife Rita, Nancy Watson, Mary Light and husband, Jim, Larry Watson; he also had seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

    There will be a service at a later date.
