Timothy Wayne “Horsey” Stroud died peacefully in CMC Hospital surrounded by his
children on Thursday March 21, 2024, in Charlotte, North Carolina at the age of 70.
Tim was born on January 30,1954 in Maiden, North Carolina to Glayton and Eva Stroud.
He graduated from Maiden Highschool in 1973. He was a member of the Sons of
Confederate veterans. Tim was a truckmaster in the United States Army. Following his
military service, he was a maintenance technician with multiple manufacturing
companies. Tim was passionate towards music, cars, family and making his one-of-a-kind
beef jerky.
He is preceded in death by his parents Glayton Jennings and Eva Elizabeth Stroud of
Maiden, NC. Siblings: Reginald Allen Stroud, Harold Eugene Stroud, Gaye Francis
Caudle and Charles Glayton Stroud.
Tim is survived by son Adrian Jennings Stroud (Danielle) and son Stacy Alexander
Stroud. Three beautiful grandchildren: Colton Alexander Stroud, Olivia Kate Stroud and
Henry Clyde Stroud. Two sisters-in-law, Sylvia Stroud and Bertie Stroud. Many special nieces
and nephews.
Tim’s Funeral services are being handled by Carolina Simple Services.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Cedar Grove
Baptist Church in Maiden, North Carolina, with Reverend Darrin Stroud officiating.
